MEET Ron D Ford

Dr. Ron D. Ford is a senior executive, highly-rated professor and academic leader who has demonstrated proven results for stakeholders across a myriad of corporate functions and performance areas. His experience includes CEO, President, CFO, COO, CIO and board director in publicly traded and private companies with annual revenues north of $2 billion. Ford has a strong track record of performance with double digit growth in sales, marketing, operations, finance, and organizational development. Ford has been successful in turnaround and high-growth situations in addition to leading public and private companies with domestic and international operations. He has earned certifications in public accounting (CPA) and Chartered Global Managerial accounting.

 

Dr. Ford holds an earned Doctorate in Executive Management from Case Western Reserve University, an MBA from The Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management and a B.S. in Business Administration from The University of Tennessee. He has also completed executive education programs in marketing, sales and strategy from the Harvard Business School. Ron has served on the faculty of Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business as well as being an associate dean for six years.

 

As part of his civic and community engagement, Ford was appointed by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger as the commissioner of entertainment and tourism. Ron was the past president of the American Cancer Society Board in Atlanta. He is also a part of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) and the downtown Atlanta Rotary Club. Ron also has served on the boards of ThinkThin, Quixote/Smashbox, Vanderbilt University and Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School, among others.
